The Old Château in Jevišovice was built up by Sezema of Kunštát in 1423 – 1426 and was kept by this family until 1587. In this year the family died out in male tail and the chateau fell upon the princes of Minsterberk. After the Minsterberks had died out in 1649, the Emperor sold the château to one of the most significant personalities of the Jevišovice history – Louis Raduit de Souches. New Château
The New Château is a mixture of a few architectural styles. It is framed by a spacious English park with a collection of 22 Baroque statues depicting antique heros.
The new château was built by Raduit de Souches in the precinct of the then hunting park. It was the owner Karlov Locatelli thanks to whom the château has its today´s image. He had an original wooden hunting manor rebuilt into Neogothic, Windsor style.

Old Castle
The original residence of Jevišovice lords was most probably built up in 1277 by Boček of Jevišovice, the Moravian aristocrat from the family of Kunštát. The Old Castle was erected in the locality of a prehistoric settlement which showed to be a rich archaeological excavation later. Today we can find only a few stones here. However, from the place where the Old Castel used to stand there is one of the most gorgeous views of the Old Château on the opposite river bank.

Water Fortress in Boskovštejn
This manor, from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, is nowadays used as a museum of bicycles and cycling history. Its rich exposition maps the entire cycling history – since its absolute outset till present.

Plaveč Château
The history of the Château in Plaveč reaches as long as the 13th century. In that time there was a Gothic fortress which was re-built into a Renaissance castle at the end of the 16th century by the family of Hodicky. Then in the mid-18th century a scion of this family, from the line of de Souches family, re-built the Renaissance castle into a Baroque palace. The present classicistic form was impressed to it by the baron Albert Widmann in 1825, whose ancestors acquired the château in 1743. The Chaple of Assumption of Virgin Mary was built in the first half of the 13th century, adjacent to a Gothic fortress by the river Jevišovka in the village Plaveč. This Romanesque rotunda is used to be called the sister of more famous St Catherine Rotunda.

Žalov Memorial
In the proximity of the Jevišovice Dam a hill called Žalov is rising. Its dominant feature is a memorial in the shape of a chalice, reminding an unfortunate conclusion of Hussite´s forays. In September 1871 so called „mass meeting“ took place here, with 16 thousand people gathered, and for the first time in the Znojmo region the future anthem „Where is my home?“ was heard.

In the château, which is in the custody of the Moravian Museum, you can visit a whole range of interesting expositions. Fire Museum in Jiřice
The Museum of fire instrumentation in the little hamlet Jiřice u Moravských Budějovic is a real unique object. What was initially a private collection, spread out into several hundreds of exhibits which illustrate an operation of voluntary firemen in our country. Visitors can find fireman devices, uniforms, helmets, badges and a plentiful amount of other artefacts including written documents and brigade magazines.

Bicycle Museum Boskovštejn
The Bicycle Museum maps the development of bicycles from the morning. It was in 1817 in Paris when Charles Baron von Drais de Sauerbun introduced the first bicycle with a dirigible front wheel. Besides several hundreds of exhibits you can also view posters printed on a hand-operated litographic press between 1888 and 1910. The press itself, which was produced in 1886, is to be seen too.

Pilgrim place Hluboké Mašůvky
A significant pilgrim precinct in Hluboké Mašůvky is found just nine kilometers from Jevišovice. This pilgrim place arose around a local healing spring, whose miraculous effects were recorded in writing already in the time before the Battle of White Mountain.

The pilgrim Church of Virgin Mary´s Visitation is a dominant feature of the pilgrim precinct in Hluboké Mašůvky. The present form of the church is a result of several reconstructions. Miller´s Path
The Miller´s Path thematically joins places with watermills and miller´s tradition on the Highlands and the South Moravia. The beginning of the path is in Nové Město na Moravě and if you go along it, you´ll get as far as to an Austrian townlet Hardegg. Bike Trail Krumlov-Jevišovice Areas
The route passes through the Northern Znojmo region and connects two historical towns: Jevišovice and Moravský Krumlov. The disposition of the neighbouring country is mainly agricultural with occasional isles of wood. Jevišovice Dam
The Jevišovice Dam is the oldest stone dam in Moravia and at the same time it counts among the oldest stone dams in Europe. The dam is of a gravitational type and its foundations are fastened deep in the rock. The damming of the dam is located at about 350 meters away from the town centre. The dam was constructed in 1894 – 1897 and it was designated as a Cultural Monument in 1987.
The dam is suitable for swimming and cruises on punts but for fishing too. In close proximity of the dam there is a camp.

Rudlice hills
The Nature Monument the Rudlice hills is an elevated plateau with a gorgeous view of the surroundings. Thanks to local grassy vegetations with an occurence of solitary trees and accidental bunches of bushes you will be transferred to the steppe which is inhabited by protected species of animals as the common (viviparous) lizard, the wild quail or the red-backed shrike. In the grass you can also see blooms of the rare greater pasque flower, the purple mullein, or for example the bastard balm.

The Vencl´s Mill is found on the left bank of the river Jevišovka near the village Rudlice. The mill was first mentioned in writing as early as in 1657. It is situated on the bike trail Miller´s Path and if you go about a kilometer down the Jevišovka river you´ll see its neighbour, another similar building, the Šmíd´s mill.

Swimming in a dam is the classic which you can enjoy also in our Jevišovice. Our dam is the oldest one in Moravia. The body of water is banked with a wood, so you can fall in the shadow of trees, as well as sunbathe in the sun on rocky banks.
The dam is also suitable for cruises on punts and it is a popular fishermen´s destination too.
In close proximity of the dam there is a peaceful camp with cabanas and a space big enough for your tents and caravans.

The water reservoir Výrovice lies on the river Jevišovka to the South-East of Jevišovice. The extent of the body of water is 56 hectares. The dam offers a pleasant refreshment in the warmest dam in the South Moravia. There is a rental of sports equipment and punts, and of course a snack bar, at your disposal. Jevišovice Historical Festival
If you come to visit Jevišovice in the middle of August, you will be a witness of a spectacular historical pageant. Because in that time the Jevišovice Historical Festival takes place.
The festival is organized to commemorate the lord of Jevišovice Hynek of Kunštát called Dry Devil. Dry Devil with his entourage returns to Jevišovice from a winning battle by Znojmo which he waged with the king Sigismund of Luxemburg.
